The Ontario Nonprofit Network (ONN) is the provincial network for the approximately 55,000 nonprofit organizations across Ontario. As a 7,000-strong provincial network, with a volunteer base of 300 sector leaders, ONN brings the diverse voices of the sector to government, funders and business to create and influence systemic change.
The Ontario Nonprofit Network (ONN) is working with – and for Ontario’s nonprofit sector. We’re focused on addressing issues that affect today’s nonprofit sector in Ontario – from our people and our partnerships, to our financing and sector structures. Much of what we do exists within one of these four pillars of work, however some of the work we undertake speaks to the sector as a whole.
Building a labour force strategy for Ontario’s nonprofits and charities
We believe that harnessing workers’ passions can amplify the impact of organizations on their communities. To support nonprofit workers and strengthen Ontario’s nonprofit labour force, ONN is developing a culture of labour market planning. We’re doing this through a multi-year approach, working with other sector organizations to create a comprehensive strategy.
By collaborating across the sector, nonprofit organizations can creatively and effectively respond to pressing demands in the labour force. Building on years of sector collaboration, a comprehensive plan is in the works.
Connect Nonprofit Jobs is Ontario’s province-wide site connecting job seekers with paid nonprofit positions.
